We are looking for a Finance Controller with solid experience in reporting and consolidation, to join our Finance team in Oeiras (Lagoas Park).
This is a hands-on role, with direct responsibility for Group consolidation and reporting to Headquarters.
Role Purpose:
The Finance Controller will be responsible for preparing and analyzing the Group's consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards. This role is also responsible for reporting to Headquarters.
This professional plays a crucial role in integrating and harmonizing financial data from different entities within the Group.
The position will primarily focus on consolidation accounting and reporting activities, including coordination with Group subsidiaries and the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual);
• Processing and review of journal entries related to consolidation, budgeting, and financial statements;
• Preparation and management of consolidation packages;
• Preparation of consolidated cash flow statements;
• Coordination with regulatory authorities and auditors (financial statement audits, tax audits, etc.);
• Optimization of the consolidation process and proposal and implementation of process improvements;
• Financial reporting in accordance with IFRS;
• Reporting financial data to senior management;
• Internal control of the Holding company.
Skills and Competencies Required:
• Experience using ERP systems (Navision or similar)
• Proficiency in English
• Experience in financial, accounting, and reporting activities
• 3–5 years of practical experience in consolidated accounting
• Knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards and IFRS
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Excel or similar tools
• Experience in an audit or financial consulting firm
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal departments and subsidiaries
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broad, strategic perspective
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• Proactive mindset with a focus on driving process improvements
