About the Role
As an Oil System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and sustainability of the oil system within a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit.
This involves leading efforts to maintain system health, achieve value-driven outcomes, and manage budgets in alignment with the asset leadership team.
The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align lifecycle objectives and drive continuous system improvements.
* You will be accountable for delivering system health, value, and budget performance to the asset leadership team.
* You will engage with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align asset lifecycle objectives and ensure continuous system improvement.
* You will serve as the focal point for external stakeholders, including technology providers, supply chain partners, and fleet management.
* You will drive continuous improvement in system design for enhanced safety, sustainability, and profitability.
* You will develop and refine system KPIs, monitor surveillance activities, and prioritize across FPSO systems.
* You will participate in rapid responses to offshore incidents and support maintenance planning to optimize system uptime.
* You will contribute to the Smart Operation Production Hub Roadmap, boosting efficiency through monitoring and predictive technologies.
* You will create dashboards and KPIs to monitor system performance, address weaknesses, and track key initiatives.
* You will validate abnormal behaviors, define corrective actions, and ensure implementation of remedial actions.
* You will provide analysis and recommendations to improve system safety, sustainability, and reliability.
* You will manage spare part inventory, align maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, and review shutdown scopes.
* You will monitor CO2 emissions, identify abnormalities, and recommend reduction strategies.
* You will lead pilot projects to implement systems engineering across shore bases, offshore, and design processes.
* You will conduct system audits, mobilize offshore as necessary, and participate in HAZOP and HAZID reviews.
Requirements
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations and in relation with the system they will lead.
* Field Experience is required.
* FPSO experience is required.
* Familiarization with working procedures, regulatory compliance, and offshore constraints.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
* Able to travel abroad and offshore on short or long duration basis as required.
* Able to bring a global understanding of a system.
* An expert in the system they will lead.
* Experience with engineering, commissioning, and operation activities.
