Job purpose
Manages and oversees Human Resources, Occupational Safety, and Environmental Management System functions, with an emphasis on alignment with the organization's strategy and continuous improvement in all aspects of operations, through talent development, labor relations, organizational development, recruitment and selection, health and safety promotion, and Environmental Management Policy administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Responsible for coordinating all activities related to the promotion of occupational health and safety for all employees, associates, subcontractors, visitors, and others present at the company premises.
* Coordinates all emergency operations as outlined in the building's self-protection measures.
* Communicates and enforces safe work procedures.
* Plays an active role in managing the factory's Emergency Plan.
* Responsible for developing, implementing, and administering the company's HR policies and programs that support business strategy requirements, ensuring optimal use of human resources and contributing to overall operating profit, cash flow, and value creation goals.
* Develops, implements, and maintains effective systems for recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation and rewards, and training and development programs.
* Works with managers to formulate succession plans for key positions.
* Develops, implements, and achieves strong departmental performance in terms of budget and non-financial goals aligned with business strategy and objectives.
* Active member of the plant management team.
* Provides specialized work and career advice to ensure employee satisfaction and motivation, fostering a trustworthy work environment.
* Acts as a catalyst for change, motivating others to support change initiatives.
* Designs, implements, and complies with HR programs, services, strategies, policies, and initiatives that address plant needs and are integrated with corporate policies to reduce the company's exposure to legal or financial claims.
* Develops and implements protocols and procedures for handling personal disputes and complaints, misconduct, and internal policy violations.
* When applicable, serves as a key member of the collective bargaining team, representing the factory's HR component and managing the collective labor agreement.
* Supervises, trains, and provides guidance to the Safety, Environment, and HR team.
* Establishes continuous improvement plans that lead to a more efficient organization.
* Facilitates efficient and open communication within the department and with other departments in the organization.
* Ensures compliance with safety and workplace cleanliness rules.
* Continuously ensures improvement in health, safety, environmental conditions, and energy efficiency.
* Participates in the definition, implementation, and maintenance of organizational policies.
* Participates in defining objectives for Environmental Management, Energy Management, and Occupational Health and Safety Policies.
* Actively participates in the continuous improvement of Environmental Management, Energy Management, and Occupational Health and Safety Policies.
* Ensures compliance with environmental, energy efficiency, health and safety standards, policies, and practices according to their level of responsibility.
* Develops a culture characterized by strong professional ethics and employee engagement across all areas.
* Complies with environmental, energy efficiency, health and safety, quality, and productivity standards.
* Complies with organizational rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, practices, and working hours.
* Efficiently uses different energy sources, adopting practices that promote reduced energy consumption and responsible resource use, in accordance with the Energy Management System Policy.
* Performs other tasks not included in the original job description when service needs or convenience justify it, for the time necessary to meet those needs or convenience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
* Master's degree (preferred).
* 12+ years of experience in the field with increasing responsibility.
* 5+ years of supervisory experience in medium-sized units or multiple locations.
* Strong knowledge of labor legislation.
* Solid understanding of occupational safety requirements.
* Proficiency in people management and development techniques.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
* Proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
* Fluency in English (spoken and written).
* Availability to travel.
