The Role
Are you a rising finance professional with 3–5 years of experience and a passion for innovation? As Finance Associate, you will play a key role in supporting Waterworks' international operations while working closely with our US based finance team and cross-functional partners. You'll be a trusted advisor across departments, providing financial expertise, insights, and support to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Eligible applicants must reside in Portugal and be able to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in our Porto Office. Waterworks will not provide relocation or sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with U.S. finance and business teams to ensure alignment on financial planning, reporting, and analysis
* Provide monthly and quarterly analysis and forecasts for operating income, cash flows, and balance sheet
* Manage daily cash flow and support treasury strategy
* Publish regular financial reports and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
* Participate in the Annual Operating Planning process and contribute to strategic analyses for senior leadership
* Support continuous improvement and modernization of finance processes through AI-driven tools and automation
* Other accountabilities as assigned
Requirements
* 3–5 years of experience in finance, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset
* A proactive, resourceful approach and a desire to grow within a dynamic, international team
* Interest in leveraging technology and automation to enhance financial operations
