Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the development of precision control systems for our next-generation stabilized platforms.
The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge embedded systems involving real-time motor control, sensor fusion, and advanced control algorithms. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in solving complex motion control challenges and enjoy working at the intersection of hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement advanced control algorithms for gimbal stabilization, motion control, and target tracking;
* Model electro-mechanical systems and simulate control strategies using tools like MATLAB/Simulink;
* Integrate and fuse data from multiple sensors (IMUs, encoders) to estimate system states;
* Implement advanced motor control techniques including Field Oriented Control (FOC);
* Tune control loops and validate system behaviour through lab and field testing;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring robust systems to production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field;
* 3-5+ years of experience designing and implementing real-time control systems;
* Thorough understanding of classical and modern control theory (PID, state-space, observers, filters);
* Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling, simulation, and controller design;
* Experience with Field-Oriented Control (FOC);
* Familiarity with sensors and actuators: IMUs, encoders, torque/current sensors;
* Hands-on experience with tuning control systems for real-world applications.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with sensor fusion (e.g., Kalman filters, complementary filters);
* Embedded systems development experience using C/C++ in RTOS or bare-metal environments;
* Exposure to CAN, SPI, I2C, UART or similar communication protocols in embedded systems;
* Knowledge of software best practices: version control (Git), documentation, testing.
