Architectural Designer vacancy in Funchal Portugal
Our firm, located in the beautiful city of Funchal, is seeking an experienced and talented Architectural Designer to join our team. As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs for various building projects. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and extensive knowledge of architectural design principles.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop design concepts
- Create detailed drawings and blueprints using computer-aided design software
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for design projects
- Ensure that all designs comply with local building codes and regulations
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Continuously research new materials, technologies, and techniques to improve design processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Architectural Designer
- Extensive knowledge of architectural design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on residential or commercial projects in Funchal or Portugal
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
- Familiarity with 3D rendering software such as Revit or Lumion
Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
