We are now looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to lead our commercial growth in Lisbon, Portugal.
This is not a development role.
We are looking for a senior commercial professional who already:
knows the Portuguese construction market,
has an established network,
can open doors quickly,
and generate business within the first months.
You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, managing strategic accounts, and positioning Effisus solutions in major construction and refurbishment projects across Portugal.
You will engage directly with: Architects; Developers; Main Contractors; Subcontractors; Engineering Consultants.
This role combines: Business Development; Technical & Specification Sales; Strategic Account Management; On-site project engagement.
We are looking for a hunter with a consultant mindset: commercially driven, technically credible, and comfortable both on construction sites and in front of senior decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and develop new commercial opportunities across Portugal
Build and manage a strategic project pipeline
Negotiate and close commercial agreements
Key Account Management
Develop long-term relationships with strategic clients
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Technical & Specification Sales
Engage architects and consultants at early design stages
Position Effisus solutions in project specifications
Conduct technical presentations, site visits, and mock-up installations
Work closely with the technical team to deliver project solutions
Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Represent Effisus at industry events and trade fairs
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or business development within construction or building materials
Strong network in the Portuguese construction market
Proven success managing complex B2B accounts
Fluent Portuguese and English
Based in the Greater Lisbon Area
Hands-on commercial approach and strong field presence
Strongly Preferred
Experience in: Building Envelope, Façades, Waterproofing, Insulation, Membranes, Sealants, Airtightness systems
Experience working with international companies or multinationals
Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
CRM experience (Zoho preferred)
