This role sits within the Finance Second Line of Defense and focuses on strengthening and supervising the permanent control framework related to prudential requirements (Basel IV, CRR3, ICAAP, COREP). The professional will support the Capital Stream Leader and act as a key contributor to the governance, testing, certification, and monitoring of controls linked to capital reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update the Capital Generic Control Library in coordination with the Capital Adequacy teams.
• Ensure clear understanding of required controls across First Line of Defense (1 Lo D) and Second Line of Defense (2 Lo D) teams.
• Organize the certification process for divisions and business lines.
• Report on the quality and performance of the permanent control framework to internal governance bodies.
• Define the risk-based methodology for 2 Lo D testing on central teams.
• Execute 2 Lo D testing campaigns and document evidence in internal tools.
• Prepare consolidated reports on testing outcomes for Finance & Strategy committees.
• Follow up on remediation actions arising from internal audit, external audit and supervisory reviews.
• Support responses to internal/external inspections focused on capital reporting controls.
Operational Responsibilities:
• Understand production and control processes of central 1 Lo D teams.
• Apply strong knowledge of the Capital Generic Control Library and its related procedures.
• Track and validate remediation actions addressing identified deficiencies.
• Produce full documentation of performed controls and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with regional 2 Lo D teams to collect findings impacting the quality of capital data.
• Collaborate with operational control teams to ensure proper usage of the tools for reporting controls.
• Provide continuous support to the Stream Leader on certifications and control framework oversight.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in control, finance or audit, ideally in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Experience in internal control, audit or prudential topics is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work methodically.
• Critical thinking and ability to challenge processes effectively.
