Job Role
We are seeking an experiencedBusiness Analyst (Portuguese Speaking) for a full-time, 18-month contractrole to act as the primary coordination bridge between delivery teams and client stakeholders.
This role is critical in ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication between the customer and team, facilitating seamless collaboration and successful delivery outcomes.
Fluency in Portuguese is essential for effective engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
• Conduct structured discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for the development team
• Maintain a living requirements register and ensure traceability across delivery milestones
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact between business stakeholders and delivery teams
• Facilitate regular status meetings, sprint reviews, and feedback sessions
o Conduct meetings in Portuguese with client stakeholders
o Communicate in English with internal delivery teams
• Ensure accurate and contextual communication across both organizations
Process Analysis & Gap Identification
• Analyze existing workflows and document process maps
• Identify inefficiencies, functional gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Proactively flag scope creep, ambiguous requirements, or conflicts
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive timely resolution
Technical & Delivery Coordination
• Work within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release cycles
• Interpret technical documentation, including:
o API specifications
o Data models
o System architecture diagrams
• Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Understand data flows, integrations, and dependencies across digital platforms
• Support insurance-related platforms such as policy management, claims, and reporting systems
Acceptance & Quality Support
• Define acceptance criteria aligned with stakeholder expectations
• Create structured acceptance test cases
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
• Capture feedback and ensure sign-off documentation
• Validate deliverables against agreed requirements
Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain detailed meeting notes, decision logs, and change request documentation
• Produce concise progress and status reports
• Support project governance and reporting activities
Qualification
•Fluent in Portuguese (spoken)
•Proficient in English for internal team communication
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience delivering at least one full end-to-end software development project
• Strong experience writing:
o User Stories
o Acceptance Criteria
• Experience in process modeling (BPMN or similar frameworks)
• Functional knowledge of:
o APIs and integrations
o System architecture and digital platforms
• Hands-on experience with tools such as:
o Azure DevOps
o JIRA
o Confluence
o Figma
o or equivalent tools
Nice to Have Skills
• Experience working within the insurance domain
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience with Strapi (preferred)
• Understanding of insurance platform workflows, including:
o Policy Management
o Claims Processing
o Reporting Systems
