SAP Program Manager Role Overview
As a seasoned SAP professional, you will take on the responsibility of leading end-to-end SAP program delivery within the manufacturing domain. Your goal will be to oversee multiple project streams across production, supply chain, and logistics operations, ensuring successful program execution on time and aligned with business strategy and global manufacturing standards.
The candidate will act as the primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and implementation partners, ensuring SAP solutions enable operational efficiency, standardization, and scalability across the manufacturing landscape. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading complex, multi-phase SAP programs across global manufacturing sites
* Establishing governance frameworks, steering committees, and project management standards
* Oversight of project portfolios to ensure dependencies, milestones, and deliverables are tracked and reported effectively
In addition, the successful candidate will engage with senior business leaders from Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance, manage external system integrators, vendors, and internal delivery teams to ensure cohesive delivery, and facilitate executive steering committee meetings, program reporting, and risk reviews.
Requirements for Success
This position requires 7 to 10+ years of SAP project delivery experience, including at least 5 years in a Program Management role, a proven track record of leading large-scale SAP programs in the Manufacturing industry, and a strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes—production planning, shop floor execution, quality control, and maintenance.
Essential skills include:
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills at CxO and operational levels
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
* Ability to manage cross-functional, multi-country teams in a matrix organization
* Fluency in English (additional European languages an advantage)
