Electrical Solution Engineering Role
This is a pivotal role in developing and implementing electrical solutions for power plants, E-BoP, and substations. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in electrical protection systems, generator excitation systems, and the ability to design and develop electrical systems that meet international standards.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
* Conducting solution engineering for power plants, E-BoP, and substations, focusing on electrical protection and generator excitation systems.
* Developing basic and detailed designs, including sizing electrical systems and creating user documentation such as design reports, single-line diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
* Applying product-specific software tools for software development, including DIGSI 5 and Digureg PC-Tool.
* Performing engineering studies like short-circuit, power flow, and transient stability studies using network planning software.
* Leading project design autonomously as a Lead Project Engineer, participating in internal and customer technical meetings.
* Collaborating with go-to-market and bid management teams to provide conceptual engineering and technical solutions for system component pre-sizing.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Energy or Power Systems and at least 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Project Engineer.
2. Proficiency in designing electrical systems for power plants, E-BoP, and MV/HV Substation projects, with knowledge of both conventional and renewable energy sources.
3. Experience in electrical protection systems for MV and HV power systems, including generator and transformer protection, with a preference for familiarity with Siemens protection relays.
4. Skills in electrical design and hardware engineering using ECAD software, particularly E-Plan, and conducting engineering studies like power flow and short-circuit studies.
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with a passion for engineering design and attention to detail for quality assurance.
6. Fluency in English, with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel 10-30% of the time.
