The Role
We are looking for an experienced, commercially drivenFX Business Development professionalto lead our expansion into the Portuguese market.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage in a new region, taking full ownership of building and growing Magna's presence locally.
You will be responsible for driving revenue, developing client relationships, and establishing a strong foothold in the market.
This role is ideally suited to someone with FX experience and an existing network, or a highly capable business developer with the drive and ability to build a market from the ground up.
What You'll Be Doing
Driving new business across Portugal through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building
Building and developing a portfolio of corporate and private clients
Leveraging existing relationships or creating new partnerships with intermediaries such as real estate brokers, lawyers, and business setup firms
Identifying client needs and delivering tailored FX solutions
Owning the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal execution
Onboarding new clients in line with compliance and KYC requirements
Maintaining accurate records of activity, pipeline, and performance in CRM
Working closely with internal teams including Sales Support and Finance
Playing a key role in shaping strategy and growth within a newly established market
What We're Looking For
Proven experience within FX sales or currency exchange
Existing client relationships or book of business highly advantageous
Strong business development capability with a track record of winning new business
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a market
Commercially driven with a target-focused approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Fluent in English and Portuguese
