Technical Product Manager (internal-facing, remote possible)
Overview
We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Technical Product Manager to join Keyrock as the internal hub for core services and automation that support trading business units. This builder-at-heart role involves identifying opportunities, rapidly prototyping solutions, assessing buy vs build, connecting APIs, and driving the integration of cutting-edge technology to address critical business challenges. You will work closely with the VP of Product, and support the COO office and VP of Engineering to bridge ideas and implementation for non-trading teams. A strong software development background is essential.

Responsibilities
* Strategy, Roadmap, & Technical alignment: Turn central technology goals into a clear roadmap; run regular cross-functional meetings with product, engineering, and architecture to identify problems early and improve collaboration.
* Technology Assessment & Prioritisation: Determine team needs, decide whether to build or buy, and use data to balance value against effort.
* Technical Solution discovery, design & prototyping: Rapidly build working models to test ideas and demonstrate value before large investments.
* Stakeholder Communication & Central Operations: Serve as the initial product & tech contact for business operations and back-office teams; communicate plans clearly and help the central Platform team explore new ideas.
* Engineering Collaboration & Systems Integration: Design and build early solutions to evaluate fit with existing systems and set examples for moving from idea to production.
* Technical Research & Experimentation: Actively test new technologies, set up tools, and determine real-world value for Keyrock.
* Reporting Performance & Impact Measurement: Define metrics, track impact, and collaborate with the data visualization team to present results and manage risks.
* Process Optimisation & FinOps: Improve operational efficiency and cloud cost management by adopting best practices.
Essentials
* Proven Development Background: 5+ years in tech operations, software development, or data engineering; strong portfolio; comfortable coding, building data pipelines, and integrating systems.
* Technical Product Management Experience: Track record of transitioning from technical roles to product ownership, launching and iterating on technical products.
* Pragmatic Builder's Mindset: Ability to translate complex problems into simple, functional prototypes and prove value via working software.
* Financial Domain Exposure: Prior exposure to financial contexts, market data, and time series data manipulation; fintech/trading/quant finance experience is a plus.
* Excellent Communicator: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and act as a credible voice at the intersection of business, trading, and engineering.
* Ownership & Autonomy: Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, capable of autonomously driving projects from ideation to initial implementation.
Beneficial experience
* Infrastructure Experience: Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
* Financial Services Experience: 3+ years in a financial services context (e.g., proprietary trading, asset management, or market making).
* AI/Tech Fundamentals: Understanding of recent AI developments (transformers, retrieval-augmented generation, MCP).
