We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer (m/w/d) to join our customer team in Santo Tirso, Portugal.
Your missions will be:
1. Generating mechanical designs and CAD models
2. Specifying and selecting machine and structural components
3. Creating fabrication drawings and production documents
4. Preparing support documentation and assisting with testing of mechanical parts and assemblies
5. Providing expertise and support to all engineering activities of the company
6. Working on mechanical design aspects of aerospace products
7. Supporting continuous improvement in design and verification processes
8. Facilitating efficient interaction and information flow between disciplines
9. Contributing to development ideas and their realization
10. Proactively introducing, documenting, and disseminating new technologies and concepts through technology survey activities
Requirements
About you:
11. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
12. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in aerospace or similar
13. In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Design and Equipment Installation (MSI)
14. Proficiency in engineering tools, including CAD and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
15. Advanced experience with CATIA V5 (full 3D modeling: part design, assembly design, drafting); familiarity with Airbus Defense and Space–specific design tools is highly valued
16. Strong understanding of material selection and surface treatment processes
17. Experience with QCM (Quality Conformance Management), NC (Non-Conformities), and MAP (Manufacturing Assembly Processes)
18. VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) experience is a strong plus
19. Proficient in standard office and internet software (, Microsoft Office suite)
20. Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a strong plus
