Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES of this Position:
Responsible for the day-to-day processing of the General Account function. Work within the
accounting team, ensure daily & period-end transactions, perform activities in a timely &
efficient manner and in compliance with the regulatory requirements
Key Areas of Responsibility
Fixed assets (fleet/vehicles excluded)
Create and manage fixed assets register (review and modify depreciation,
assign, transfer, dispose)
Month-end period close
Respect and uphold month-end closing schedule
Prepare and record journal vouchers and month-end operations
Prepare and record accruals and provisions
Produce monthly actual which managers trust
Adjust inventory
Perform reclassifications
Bank Accounting
Control and review petty cash in collaboration with Operations
Book transactions and match bank statements with cash transactions
(bank reconciliation)
Tax compliance
Prepare tax (VAT, withholding)
Master data
Manage and maintain chart of accounts and inventory database
Manage purchases, sales and related accounting entries
In addition to above mentioned tasks, the employee may participate in:
Assisting the team leader in maintaining open communication channels with
customers developing high standards for service delivery and quality
Working closely with other team members to implement and standardize
processes to ensure maximum efficiencies
Providing input to continuous process improvement
Key Skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance (or similar)
Candidate should be well-versed with the flow of journal entries
Knowledge of Oracle Financial is desirable
Experience in a shared service environment is desirable
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Good knowledge of Excel
Language skills: English
Knowledge of IAS / IFRS, and country partner accounting standards
