Portugal (PSP) is a joint venture between PwC Luxembourg and PwC Portugal,
serving as an integral extension of PwC Luxembourg. Our growing team operates
as an acceleration center supporting PwC Luxembourg's clients. Leveraging a
unique pool of talented professionals based in Matosinhos, our operating model
ensures scalability, consistency, and quality in service delivery by
integrating seamlessly into PwC Luxembourg's operations and addressing talent
attraction challenges sustainably.
The role
As a Technology Consultant, you will work closely with public sector organizations and industry leaders to design,
implement, and optimize modern IT solutions that leverage containerisation, observability, automation, and
cloud-native technologies. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Design and rationalize monitoring architectures, including data collection, ingestion, retention, filtering,
indexing, and analysis
* Implement observability capabilities (APM, synthetic monitoring, RUM, distributed tracing), and
support deployment and integration ELK stack components
* Apply Open Telemetry standards for interoperability and data consistency
* Design, deploy, and manage containerized environments ensuring scalability, high availability, and
performance
* Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for cloud-native deployments
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess environments, identify automation opportunities, and
deliver secure, resilient solutions
* Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, present technical solutions, and provide
training on monitoring, observability, and containerisation
* Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in containerisation, DevOps, cloud, and
observability; contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Your profile
* BSc or MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
* At least two years of professional experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure modern architectures
* Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible and Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines using common tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
* Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)
* Understanding of ELK stack or other tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus and familiarity with observability practices (e.g., APM, synthetic monitoring, RUM and distributed tracing)
* Fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese.
