Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT change manager to oversee and manage the change management process within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITIL frameworks and experience in managing change processes to minimize service disruptions and ensure smooth transitions.
The IT change manager will be responsible for documenting, reviewing, and approving all changes before implementation. They will chair Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to assess the impact and risks associated with proposed changes. Additionally, they will coordinate with various IT teams to schedule and implement changes with minimal disruption to services.
The successful candidate will also conduct risk assessments for proposed changes and develop mitigation strategies. They will ensure that all changes comply with ITIL best practices and organizational policies.
Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all change requests, approvals, and outcomes is crucial. The IT change manager will prepare and present reports on change management activities, including metrics on success rates, failures, and improvements.
Effective communication with stakeholders is essential. The candidate will communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure they are informed about upcoming changes and their potential impact. Collaboration with project managers, IT teams, and business units is also necessary to align change management processes with organizational goals.
