We are seeking a Head of Communications to lead our global communications strategy, including public relations, corporate communications, executive visibility, crisis management, and internal communications. Reporting to the VP and Head of CEO Office, this role will shape Sword Health’s voice, strengthen our brand, and amplify our story to members, employers, partners, media, and the healthcare community.
What you'll be doing:
1. Build and own Sword Health’s global communications strategy across earned, owned, and shared channels.
2. Lead external communications efforts with the CEO, including media relations, press releases, and storytelling.
3. Manage crisis communications and sensitive issues, providing strategic counsel.
4. Partner with leadership to enhance their public profiles through speaking engagements, awards, bylines, and interviews.
5. Develop internal communications programs to inspire and align employees with our mission and values.
6. Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, Product, Legal, and People teams for message consistency.
7. Manage PR agencies and external vendors to ensure alignment with business goals.
8. Measure and report on communication effectiveness and brand perception.
What you need to have:
1. 8+ years of experience in communications, especially in high-growth technology or healthcare companies.
2. Deep expertise in media relations, crisis, executive, and internal communications.
3. Proven success in securing impactful media coverage and shaping brand narratives.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
5. Experience working with C-level executives and influencing organizational messaging.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
7. Strong judgment, discretion, and proactive mindset.
