What you need to succeed
Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data infrastructure and engineering solutions. Drive the implementation of robust data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based architectures to support advanced analytics and enterprise data needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high data availability, quality, and security, while promoting engineering best practices and innovation across the organization.
Your new role Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data infrastructure and engineering solutions. Drive the implementation of robust data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based architectures to support advanced analytics and enterprise data needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high data availability, quality, and security, while promoting engineering best practices and innovation across the organization.
Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
Design and manage cloud-based data lake and warehouse solutions (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Snowflake).
Lead the development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from diverse sources.
Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and usability.
Ensure data reliability, performance, and security through monitoring, testing, and automation.
Establish and enforce data engineering standards, coding practices, and documentation protocols.
Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to the team’s capability development.
Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance data infrastructure.
Partner with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
Support advanced analytics initiatives by enabling efficient data access and modeling.
What the company can offer you
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics) are advantageous.
8+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or cloud data architecture.
Experience with Azure and data lake technologies.
Expertise in SQL and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks).
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data environments.
Experience in oil & gas, marine, or industrial domains is preferred.
Experience with the Xpert BI tool is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving and system design capabilities.
Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Ability to lead technical discussions and translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data privacy principles.
