Savannah Resources is a mineral resource development company with nearly 15 years of global experience and listed in the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market (AIM) under the ticker "SAV.". It is the sole owner of the Barroso Lithium Project in northern Portugal, the largest identified spodumene lithium resource in Europe to date. Through the Barroso Lithium Project, Savannah will help Portugal play a key role in the long term supply of locally sourced lithium raw material for the rapidly growing European lithium battery value chain. Construction is scheduled to start in late **** and production to begin in ****. Savannah will produce enough lithium to supply around half a million vehicle batteries per year, and the Project was included in the European Commission ´s list of Strategic Projects in March ****. Savannah is committed to the responsible development and operation of the Barroso Lithium Project, aiming to minimise its environmental impact while maximising the socio-economic benefits it brings to all its stakeholders. We are recruiting a
Project Controller & Business Development
to join our team and support the preparation, implementation, and reporting of national and European projects, ensuring their administrative, financial, and operational follow-up. This role will have a cross-functional scope, interacting with different departments across the company, funding bodies, partners, and external consultants, while also supporting business development activities and strategic initiatives.
Responsabilidade / Role and Responsibilities
Monitoring of National and European Projects.
Support the preparation of applications for national and European projects, including information gathering, document organization, and assistance in proposal drafting.
Monitor project implementation, ensuring compliance with deadlines, milestones, contractual obligations, and funding body requirements.
Support technical, administrative, and financial reporting, including progress reports, reimbursement claims, and responses to requests for clarification.
Ensure the administrative, financial, and operational follow-up of projects in coordination with internal teams and the finance department.
Document Management and Control:
Organize, maintain, and update project-related documentation (contracts, supporting evidence, reports, communications, etc.).
Prepare supporting information for audits, interim reviews, and project closures.
Support expense monitoring and administrative-financial reconciliation, ensuring compliance with eligibility rules.
Cross-functional Support to Business Development:
Support business development activities, including opportunity analysis, proposal preparation, corporate presentations, and supporting materials.
Contribute to the identification of new funding opportunities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
Support the preparation and follow-up of external meetings, ensuring proper follow-up actions.
Requisitos principais / Key Requirements:
Degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, Public Administration, International Relations, or related fields.
Experience of 3-5 years in project monitoring, preferably in nationally or European funded projects (considered an asset).
Strong organizational skills, document management capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to structure information and prepare reports effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to different topics.
Interest in projects related to energy transition, industry, sustainability, and economic development
Fluency in Portuguese and English
