Remote language specialist position based anywhere in Portugal. The role requires translation, localisation, copy editing, post‐editing, and content creation from English into the target language. Responsibilities Translations/localisations (mainly) from English into the target language/culture (if other than English) Proofreading, copy editing and MTPE (machine translation post‐editing), revision of various finished texts, sentences, or text modules in the respective target language (TL) Copywriting, if such tasks are assigned and blog article writing where required Linguistic Quality Assessment Rewrites Transcreation of various online advertising materials Proofreading and linguistic checks of all kinds; preparation of error logs and suggested corrections Qualifications At least 2years of relevant work experience in translation (copy editing, MTPE, proofreading, localisation, transcreation or language services) Language skills: English at least C1 and French at C2 level Strong written communication skills in the specialist's main target language Very good spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills Soft skills: effective communication and teamwork, precise way of working and correct prioritisation of tasks, attention to detail and strong research skills, high motivation to develop and learn Passed recruitment test (sample translation) Nice to have: Some experience with CAT tools Passed copywriting test (sample article) What do we offer?
