You will work extensively withLua within the Roblox Studio engine, contributing to high-quality, performant, and maintainable code.Beyond hands-on development, you will actively drive improvements in engineering practices, share knowledge across teams, and mentor other developers—helping elevate the overall technical maturity of the organization.What You'll Be Doing: Design, develop, and maintain games and core systems on the Roblox platform. Define and implement scalable APIs and reusable solutions. Lead the development of internal tools and shared frameworks. Continuously improve development workflows, performance, and code quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging digital experiences. Mentor and support other developers, fostering a strong engineering culture.What We're Looking For: Solid programming experience inLua, C, C#, or similar languages. Proven experience working with theRoblox platform. Around5+ years of professional experiencein game development and/or software engineering. Strong understanding ofsoftware architecture and design patterns. Hands-on experience working inAgile/Scrum environments. Good understanding ofplayer experience (UX) and game design principles. Experience contributing totechnical decisions with business impact. Proven ability tomentor, guide, and support other developers. Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams. Degree inGame Development, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Based inSweden or Portugal. A genuinepassion for games and interactive experiences.
