Overview
Airbus Atlantic Portugal is seeking an HR Director (All gender) to join our Santo Tirso, Porto region site in Portugal. The site specializes in aerostructure sub-assemblies, is part of Airbus Atlantic’s industrial system, and employs approximately 400 people. The HR Director will drive HR policy on site in alignment with group directives and lead a dedicated HR team of about 7 people.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Recruitment & Talent Development: collaborate with managers and finance on resource planning; provide guidance to leaders and employees on talent acquisition, engagement, retention, and development; guide leadership through talent assessment, workforce and succession planning, risk evaluation, and development plans; design and implement a comprehensive employee development program with rewards and recognition; develop and manage organizational competency frameworks and the talent planning process for key roles; create and maintain the employee performance evaluation process and support coaching; define and oversee on-site training and learning programs and assess their effectiveness.
* Labour Relations: ensure active social dialogue and a positive social climate; anticipate social developments and adapt strategies; manage relationships with administrative authorities and oversee dispute resolution.
* HR Administration & Processes: deploy and ensure strict compliance with HR processes; manage employee health and well-being programs; maintain HRIS data accuracy, data quality and confidentiality, and payroll compliance; establish and maintain a competitive total compensation program; develop end-to-end processes for the employee lifecycle from onboarding to retirement, including welcome activities and exit surveys.
* Health and Safety: promote health and safety practices, ensure compliance, and identify and control risks in accordance with regulations.
* Ethics & Compliance: deploy and adhere to ethics and compliance processes, upholding integrity across the organization.
Education & Experience
* Higher education degree in Human Resources Management.
* Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a generalist HR function with a strong business and operational focus, ideally within an industrial environment.
* Significant international experience, ideally within a Franco-Portuguese context.
* Proven expertise in local social relations and experience in leading HR teams.
Skills & Personal Qualities
* Visible leadership with a hands-on approach and strong affinity for the industrial environment; combines operational capabilities with strategic vision.
* Proficient in daily HR tasks and local labor legislation; able to advise and influence managers across HR domains.
* Excellent prioritization and professional communication at all levels, including with headquarters in France in an intercultural context.
* Reactive, resilient, rigorous, proactive problem-solver who can work autonomously while valuing teamwork.
* Strong ethics and compliance orientation; data management skills and proficiency with Google environments and HRIS.
* Native Portuguese, proficient in English, and ideally fluent in French due to links with the French headquarters.
