We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Migration Expert to lead or participate in projects migrating infrastructure, applications, and data from on-premises (or hybrid) environments to Microsoft Azure.
The successful candidate will ensure that migrations are executed with minimal interruptions, meeting timelines, security standards, and cloud best practices. They will assess the current environment, perform discovery and dependency analysis, and design the target Azure architecture. The expert will use Microsoft migration tools or third-party tools, develop automation and IaC for provisioning, and plan and execute migration tests / pilot runs.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Azure, including VMs, Azure SQL / Managed Instances, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, NSGs, ExpressRoute / VPN, and Azure AD / identity services. They should also have expertise in Azure migration tools, such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Database Migration Service. Additionally, they should possess solid cloud networking, security, governance, and compliance knowledge, as well as proficiency in automation / IaC: Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
Besides technical skills, the candidate should be able to diagnose infrastructure, performance, interdependencies, and migration-related issues. They should also have knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions, as well as experience in development using at least one of the following frameworks: .NET.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to present results, risks, plans, and technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. They should also have strong team spirit, proactivity, and time management skills.
