Join Our Team as Industrial Engineer – Oerlikon Fine Parts | Cubimatéria – Fundão, Castelo Branco We offer a unique and exciting job opportunity for an Industrial Engineer with a strong background in production manufacturing, responsible for defining, optimizing, and industrializing manufacturing processes related to vibrofinishing, polishing and PVD coating preparation. The role ensures performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met, acting as a key interface between production, quality, maintenance, and R&D in an international environment. Duties & Responsibilities Process Engineering & Industrialization Define, document, and optimize vibrofinishing, polishing and PVD preparation processes of the production site cubimateria Lead industrialization of existing and new products and processes, from prototype to series production Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and routing definitions Define process parameters, equipment settings, and acceptance criteria over the entire production process Performance & Continuous Improvement Analyze cycle times, yield, scraps, and rework related to vibrofinishing Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality Support cost‐reduction initiatives without compromising quality or aesthetics Analyze market benchmarks and technical solutions for vibrofinishing and polishing PVD Manufacturing Support Collaborate closely with PVD engineers and operators on: Data collection and analysis on process capability and stability Surface preparation quality (pre‐ and post‐polishing & vibrofinishing) Definition of PVD and washing frames versus products Cross‐functional collaboration acting as a technical interface with production, quality, R&D, purchasing, and maintenance Participate in audits, risk analysis exercises, and validation activities; support qualification of new equipment, tools, consumables, and suppliers Document and maintain process documentation in line with quality and regulatory requirements Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external standards Train production teams on new or modified processes Required Education, Experience, Knowledge Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience; sound experience in production manufacturing and operations environments, having worked in previous roles such as production leader Multiple years of experience as an Industrial Engineer / Methods Engineer in a manufacturing environment Proven hands‐on experience in vibrofinishing and polishing processes (manual and/or automated) Industrialization and process validation experience Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and techniques Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Good data analysis and problem‐solving skills Solid experience in PVD manufacturing, preferably in precision, luxury, or high‐quality industries (e.g., watchmaking, medical devices, automotive, decorative coatings) Proficiency in English (working level) Knowledge of French and/or Italian is a plus Comfortable with standard industrial IT tools (ERP, MES, Excel, process documentation tools) We also Value Adaptable & responsible: dynamic team player who embraces change and takes ownership Committed & resilient: works independently with a methodical and solution‐focused mindset Analytical thinker: strong grasp of logistics tools, data analysis, and continuous improvement Team‐oriented: driven to collaborate and contribute to shared success Why Join Us?
