Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Responsible for purchasing indirect materials and services in support of the site start up and continual operation, including but not limited to office supplies, maintenance services, spare parts, IT equipment, production operation, facilities, engineering, among others. The main activities are: (1) source suppliers/materials/services; (2) obtain quotations according to the company policy; (3) create and send Purchase Orders to suppliers; (4) support finance in resolution of payment discrepancies; (5) follow up arrival of orders; (6) ensure the purchasing compliance is always met.It is expected that the Indirect Material Buyer is service minded and exercises independent judgment to address material issues, negotiates quarterly and annual buys as required by Global Procurement. Additionally, will review standard and invoice purchase price variances and identify standard pricing on an annual basis. This role is 85% operational and 15% tactical.Main Responsibilities Sourcing new suppliers and/or indirect materials and services Source, negotiate, and purchase indirect materials and services in a cost-effective and timely manner.Support Global Procurement on supplier onboarding, including but not limited to request and follow up on master data creation, monitoring adherence to contract terms, conduct local supplier reviews.Responsible for supplier agreement negotiations for site-specific suppliers, including pricing and terms.Lead sourcing analysis and drive tenders when needed (e.g., Spend, Business Award scenarios).Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability and cost effectiveness.Address supplier delivery or quality issues immediately and provide feedback to Procurement.Obtain quotations and make comparative analysis to select best alternative; create purchase orders in ORACLE E1 system; follow up order arrival and monitor on-time delivery; resolve any purchase order discrepancy.Analyze inventory levels for indirect materials, process PO's timely to address needs and ensure on-time delivery. This includes a thorough follow‐up process after the PO has been placed and take actions to address timing when suppliers are not delivering on time.Compliance Ensure all procurement activities comply with Coloplast policies and procedures as well as relevant Portugal legal and regulatory requirements.Inventory Management Support the implementation of the EAM purchasing and inventory control process for the site.Actively support efforts to streamline activities within the department such as supplier Kanban process, Vendor Managed Inventories and others to be defined.Implement programs to improve indirect material turns compared to a predetermined baseline.Cost Savings Define and implement cost reduction projects for the assigned category spend. Targets will be defined in the goals and objectives each year.Cross‐functional Collaboration Collaborate with Global Procurement on all needed projects and/or activities.Collaborate with projects from other departments, acting as a subject matter expert in terms of purchasing and supplier landscape.Essential Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in materials, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field.Experience: 7-10 years of experience in materials, supply chain management and manufacturing.Experience: Experience purchasing MRO's and other indirect materials and services is mandatory.Certifications: CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent area plus.Required Knowledge and Skills Strong negotiation and communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient with ERP systems; JD Edwards knowledge is a plus; proficient with MS Office, advanced user of MS Excel.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.English high level of proficiency, oral and written.Travel required – up to 10% per year.Pursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
