Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) for Electronic Enclosures You are passionate about designing and are looking for a challenge in the development of "state-of-the-art" HBK measurement systems.
You have a deep understanding of mechanics, are also interested in the field of electronics, and a driver of innovative ideas.
We work in small Scrum teams with developers from various European locations.
These are cross-functional teams, so you will gain deep insights into your projects.
Your Task Housing design and development, including cooling systems Close collaboration with involved departments such as: Product Management (alignment of product requirements) Electronics development, including PCB layout Definition of manufacturing processes for our parts and components Prototype assembly and testing Support the pre-series during series introduction Creating the technical documentation (BOMs, single part & assembly drawings) Act as a team player in a Scrum team & drive process improvements independently Your Profile Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, or a comparable field 2-3 years of professional experience in design and product development, ideally in housing development for electronics Basic knowledge of tool-based manufacturing processes such as injection molding, zinc and aluminum die-casting, and extrusion profiles Proficient with at least one common CAD tool, ideally SolidWorks High mechanical design affinity and a strong product understanding Initial experience in thermal simulation is desirable A basic understanding of agile development methods is an advantage Personal Skills Strong problem-solving skills and a responsible, analytical approach to work Excellent communication and social skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Ability to independently plan and prioritize tasks "Can do" mentality with a proactive attitude Willingness to travel occasionally (once a quarter) Good language skills in English We Offer Freedom with responsibility is the framework for HBK's employees.
