Overview:
We are looking to strengthen its finance department by hiring a Certified Accountant, with the possibility for the role to evolve into Accounting Manager, depending on the candidate's seniority and experience.
Location: Benfica, in an area close to the train station.
Working arrangement: On-site.
Contract type: Initial 12-month contract, renewable for a further 6 months, with the prospect of permanent integration afterwards.
What will you do?
* Coordinate and monitor the accounting activity of the group's 5 companies
* Lead, organize, and develop a team of 4 people
* Ensure the reliability of financial and accounting information
* Supervise monthly and annual closings, as well as tax obligations
* Promote the standardization of processes and accounting best practices
* Report directly to the Finance Director
* Support decision-making through accurate and timely information
What are we looking for?
* Certification as a Certified Accountant is mandatory
* Solid experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment rather than in an accounting firm
* Team management experience will be valued for the Accounting Manager role
* Good knowledge of SAP and Excel
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility
* Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
* English is not required
