We are looking for an Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team. This position can either be based in Portugal (Espinho) or in Germany (Untermeitingen).As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the design, prototyping, testing and iterative development of electronic circuits and boards, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements and standards of our medical devices. This role also involves applying and continuously improving electronic design and control processes to support the company's obligations as a medical device manufacturer.Your Impact:Design & Development – Iterate through both circuit and board designs to create and optimize function, performance, safety, reliability and testability while ensuring the components' longevity and supply assurance.Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and alignment of the electronic design within the overall system.Specification Development – Translate product concepts and high-level requirements into electronic design specifications.Prototyping – Define prototyping strategies and oversee the timely, cost-effective development of prototypes that yield meaningful test data.Testing & Validation – Plan, execute (as needed), and document tests throughout the product lifecycle, designing test setups when necessary.Company-Wide Collaboration – Engage with product, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to enhance product design or quality controls, optimize processes, conduct design transfers, ramp-up productions, debug problems, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Documentation – Support the creation and upkeep of technical documentation and design processes to facilitate proper design tracking, maintenance, and production
