About this role
The Senior Sourcing and Procurement Specialist will have responsibility for category management activities in assigned categories, such as Contract Transportation – Road Linehaul.
Liaising with key stakeholders, you will drive the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. The successful candidate will be able to set category strategy, identify and analyze cost saving opportunities, align complex business requirements, execute multi-country tenders through e-sourcing platforms, and drive the execution of supplier award decisions.
Responsibilities
* Category management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract performance and risk management
* Sourcing strategies for identified categories at international and/or regional level to reduce cost to serve
* Trends analysis in and outside the company with market screening and continuous market intelligence for innovative opportunities
* Procurement reporting and data analysis for proposed cost/service improvements
* Managing stakeholder relationships to prioritize sourcing needs for annual strategies and plans
* Understanding business requirements across categories and defining sourcing strategy to deliver services in line with expectations
* Sourcing (RFx) process from start to finish for complex projects, including setting up bidding process, negotiating contracts and liaising with legal counterparts
* Supporting procurement excellence projects and initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
* Relevant work experience in international procurement, strategic sourcing and category management in an international environment
* Ability to work independently, lead and report on a strategic sourcing program in an international environment
* Analyzing spend and cost data, researching market trends and managing supporting contract development activities
* Stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Microsoft office proficiency including expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
