Unlimited.** At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.We are currently searching for a **R&D Engineer** with background in computer vision, strong software development skills, especially in C++, to support implementation of computer vision, medical imaging and AI algorithms.* (60%) Design and develop software to enable the integration of computer vision, medical imaging, and AI algorithms into computer‐assisted surgical applications.* (25%) Contribute to research and development activities focused on novel computer vision, medical imaging, and AI algorithms under guidance from senior team members.* (15%) Support operational activities such as material procurement, R&D lab organization and maintenance to ensure smooth day‐to‐day project execution.* Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics Engineering or Computer Science* Expertise in software development in C++* Expertise in computer vision, medical imaging and/or Artificial Intelligence* Knowledge in high-level language software development (e.g. Python)* Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and critical analysis skills* Attention to detail, self-motivated and collaborative* Passion for creating new, innovative, and ground-breaking solutions* Passion for using cutting‐edge tools and technologies.* Excellent organizational, documentation and written/verbal communication skills* Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.**You.
