About the Role
This is a hands-on position that requires a combination of analytical thinking, technical know-how, and strong communication skills. You will be working directly with site leadership and technical teams to drive real improvements in factory operations.
Your primary focus will be on yield improvement, labor productivity, and line efficiency. You will conduct detailed assessments of current production flows, yields, and labor utilization to uncover efficiency gaps. Then, you will design and implement solutions to optimize line balancing, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
You will also apply lean manufacturing principles and time studies to drive sustainable performance improvements. Additionally, you will provide expertise and hands-on support to factory maintenance teams, local engineering team, and plant management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed assessments of current production flows, yields, and labor utilization to uncover efficiency gaps.
2. Design and implement solutions to optimize line balancing, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
3. Apply lean manufacturing principles and time studies to drive sustainable performance improvements.
4. Provide expertise and hands-on support to factory maintenance teams, local engineering team, and plant management.
5. Act as a key connector between factories, helping to standardize best practices, foster cross-site learning, and identify opportunities for network-wide improvement.
6. Support data-driven decision making through analysis of operational KPIs, using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and ERP/MES systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
* 3-5 years' experience in floor-based engineering roles within food processing or high-volume manufacturing.
* Proven track record of improving yield and labor productivity using time studies, line design, and lean tools.
* Strong analytical skills and data literacy (Excel, Power BI); experience with SAP/ERP or MES is a plus.
* Experience in managing or contributing to international projects is an added advantage.
