We are seeking a IT/OT Integration Engineer with a background in automation systems, data acquisition, networking, and cybersecurity to lead the development and implementation of IT/OT guidelines for our life science clients.
This role requires technical expertise, regulatory knowledege, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Guideline Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand specific IT/OT integration challenges and requirements.Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive guidelines across:Data acquisition (governance, security, integrity, analysis)OT networks (wired, wireless, security, integration)OT cybersecurity (risk assessment, compliance, incident response)Ensure, with a team that the guidelines align with industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., GAMP 5), and best practices. Technical Implementation Support: Assist with the design and implementation of IT/OT automation solutions based on the established guidelines.Provide technical guidance on data acquisition strategies, network architecture, and security measures.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT/OT integration. Training and Communication: Conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients on the newly developed guidelines.Clearly communicate technical concepts and requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.Stay updated on technologies and trends in IT/OT integration and update guidelines accordingly. Experience & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT/OT integration, automation systems, or a related field.Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation and guidelines.Experience with OT network design and security.Technical Skills:Strong understanding of data acquisition, storage, and analysis technologies.Expertise in networking principles, protocols, and security measures.Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).ands-on experience with industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs) and protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, etc.) is a plusNice to Have:Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry (e.g., GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) Location: Remote, Portugal.
