Role Description
• Type: Part-time (Hybrid) - Home/Lisbon Office (Alges)
• Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (2-3 days per week)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Client Tax Advisor / Tax Representative
to join our team. This role starts as a
Part-Time position (approx. 2-3 days/week)
to support our current accounting team during peak periods, with a
clear pathway to transition into a Full-Time role
as our portfolio continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
Fiscal Representation:
Act as the legal Tax Representative for non-resident clients (Golden Visa holders) towards the Autoridade Tributária (AT).
Tax Compliance Management:
Monitor clients' Portal das Finanças regularly to ensure no deadlines are missed. Handle IMI, AIMI, and other property-related tax obligations.
IRS Preparation:
Prepare and submit annual IRS declarations (Model 3), specifically focusing on non-residents and property income (Category F).
Rental Management Support:
Issue electronic rental receipts (recibos de renda) and advise on rental income taxation.
Problem Solving:
Act as the primary liaison with the AT to resolve tax notices, fines, or bureaucratic inquiries efficiently.
Client Advisory:
Provide clear, professional, and English-language tax guidance to international clients who may be unfamiliar with the Portuguese system.
Who We Are Looking For:
Experience:
3+ years of practical experience in Portuguese taxation, with a strong focus on
Individual Income Tax (IRS)
and
Property Taxes
.
Niche Expertise:
Experience working with
Non-Residents
or
Golden Visa
clients is a significant advantage.
Certification:
Accountant Certified by OCC (Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados) is highly preferred, but we value hands-on experience equally.
Language Skills:
Native Portuguese
and
Business Fluent English
are mandatory. You must be comfortable explaining complex tax concepts in simple English.
Soft Skills:
Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of clients simultaneously. Detail-oriented and proactive.
