Job Description
* Lead the implementation of the Regional Finance strategy, encompassing finance-focused initiatives in Portugal.
* Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, and collaborate closely with other local departments.
* Oversee the annual business planning and forecasting processes for Portugal.
* Guarantee the accuracy of local financial records in alignment with local regulations.
* Oversee the process for the annual legal audit.
* Develop reports and presentations to guide the management of the Portuguese operations.
* Manage the monthly accounting close process and provide financial reports to the headquarters.
* Contribute to ad hoc analyses for business expansions, acquisitions, and the integration of new entities.
* Evaluate investment proposals and oversee the preparation of investment approval requests.
The Successful Applicant
* Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting or similar areas.
* 3 years experience as a Financial Specialist/Controller.
* Certified Accountant - mandatory.
* Background in industrial or logistics operations is important.
* Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Team player with a hands-on approach.
* Fluent in English.
* Good ERP knowledge.
