Job Description
- Lead the implementation of the Regional Finance strategy, encompassing finance-focused initiatives in Portugal.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, and collaborate closely with other local departments.
- Oversee the annual business planning and forecasting processes for Portugal.
- Guarantee the accuracy of local financial records in alignment with local regulations.
- Oversee the process for the annual legal audit.
- Develop reports and presentations to guide the management of the Portuguese operations.
- Manage the monthly accounting close process and provide financial reports to the headquarters.
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses for business expansions, acquisitions, and the integration of new entities.
- Evaluate investment proposals and oversee the preparation of investment approval requests.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting or similar areas.
- 3 years experience as a Financial Specialist/Controller.
- Certified Accountant - mandatory.
- Background in industrial or logistics operations is important.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a hands-on approach.
- Fluent in English.
- Good ERP knowledge.
