Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced industrial engineering leader to drive manufacturing and assembly process optimization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes from equipment design through to customer installation.
This role requires a strong background in industrial engineering, with experience in designing and developing manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing equipment that integrates industrial design and assembly constraints using a design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturing approach
* Controlling equipment costs with purchasing departments
* Arbitrating method of supply of machine components in accordance with the manufacturing process
* Supervising prototype assembly process to solve manufacturing and assembly problems
* Defining pre-series and serial manufacturing processes as part of project development toll gates
* Developing mechanical tools necessary to manufacture equipment
Additionally, the industrial engineering leader will be responsible for supervising the provision of technical documentation necessary for assembly of machines, supervising industrialization and optimization of assembly processes to reduce manufacturing lead time, and actively collaborating with quality service to reduce customer and internal non-conformities.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need knowledge of metallurgy, mechanical/electrical/automation manufacturing and design, proficiency in design software, office software, and ERP, problem-solving methods and tools, Lean, intermediate-level professional English, and a Master's degree in Engineering or BTEC Higher National Diploma's degree in Technology with relevant experience.
