ABOUT ÉSLUMIÈRE
ÉSLUMIÈRE is a next-generation luxury digital retail platform connecting exclusive runway pieces, emerging designers, and high-end brands with a global audience through a curated e-commerce experience. The company is currently in its build and pre-launch phase.
We are seeking a passionate and well-connected Luxury Fashion Buyer to curate the platform's product offering and build strategic relationships with the world's most coveted fashion houses and emerging designers.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Luxury Fashion Buyer is the creative and commercial backbone of ÉSLUMIÈRE. This role requires deep knowledge of the luxury fashion landscape, existing relationships with brands and showrooms, and a sharp eye for what the modern luxury consumer desires.
The ideal candidate moves fluidly between buying strategy, brand negotiation, and trend forecasting, always keeping the ÉSLUMIÈRE client at the centre of every decision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. BUYING STRATEGY & CURATION
* Define and execute the seasonal buying strategy aligned with the platform's luxury positioning.
* Select and curate exclusive runway pieces, capsule collections, and pre-order exclusives.
* Ensure a balanced, coherent, and desirable product assortment across all categories.
2. BRAND & DESIGNER RELATIONSHIPS
* Build and maintain direct relationships with luxury houses, emerging designers, and showrooms.
* Negotiate exclusivity agreements, pre-order allocations, and consignment terms.
* Represent ÉSLUMIÈRE at fashion weeks (Paris, Milan, London, New York).
3. MARKET & TREND INTELLIGENCE
* Monitor global luxury fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity.
* Identify emerging designers and brands before they reach mass visibility.
* Provide strategic recommendations to the founding team on product direction.
4. COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE
* Track sell-through rates, return rates, and category performance.
* Optimise buying budgets and margin structures.
* Work closely with the COO and tech team on product ingestion and catalogue management.

Experience as:
* Luxury Fashion Buyer
* Senior Buyer
* Buying Manager
* Showroom Sales Director
Background in:
* Luxury fashion houses
* Multi-brand luxury e-commerce
* High-end concept stores or boutiques
Strong expertise in:
* Strong existing network of designer and brand contacts
* Deep knowledge of the luxury fashion calendar
* Commercial acumen combined with editorial sensibility
* Fluent in at least two languages (English required)
