The person in this role will be responsible for publishing timely stories and industry insights, launching original editorial formats, and partnering with executives to build co-branded content and strategic visibility.

Goals
Publish1–2 original, SEO-optimized stories per daytargeting senior marketing professionals
Reach10,000+ unique monthly search viewswithin 3 months via high-performing topics
Launch aweekly column(e.g., "CMO Moves", "AdTech Weekly") to grow loyal readership
Secure3–5 editorial partnerships per monthwith U.S. agency and brand leaders
Publish1+ monthly exclusive feature(e.g., salary benchmarks, campaign reports) that earns links and builds authority
Responsibilities
Pitch, write, and publish daily news stories, explainers, and features in the Marketing and AdTech space
Identify story leads from trend monitoring, executive moves, and campaign announcements
Interview brand and agency leaders to co-create high-impact editorial features
Use SEO tools and editorial best practices to drive organic traffic
Upload and optimize content via CMS with proper formatting and metadata
Use AI tools and agents to improve reporting speed, research, and workflow
Develop recurring formats or series that boost returning readership
Track performance and report on key traffic and engagement metrics
Requirements
5+ years in digital journalism, ideally for B2B, marketing, or tech publications
Strong understanding of the AdTech and MarTech landscape
Proven ability to generate high-traffic content independently and consistently
Fluent English, with excellent writing, sourcing, and editing skills
SEO knowledge and experience with tools like Ahrefs and Google Analytics
Familiarity with AI tools for research, ideation, and workflow automation
Able to work between 4:00 AM and 1:00 PM EST
Nice-to-Haves
Experience covering CMO news, campaign launches, or brand strategy
Existing contacts or experience working with agencies or marketing leaders
Ability to conceptualize and lead data-backed editorial projects
