Delox is seeking a dynamic Lead Engineer with a visionary mindset and a hands-on approach to drive the development of a next-generation bio-decontamination product integrated into HVAC systems.
About DeloxDelox is a spin-off born in **** from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and in **** created its US branch Delox USA.
Delox technology consists of a solid formulation of hydrogen peroxide that enables the design of a new generation of bio-decontamination devices for various industries.
Delox's mission is to successfully solve the problem of microbial contamination and is currently focused on infection control and eradicating the need for social distancing.
We are designing a new generation of bio-decontamination devices to be integrated into HVAC systems – and we need your help for that!
What do we need?
Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or similar Relevant experience in product development and prototyping Strong expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) Daily experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing Solid understanding of HVAC systems and AHU design Experience with manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal, plastic injection Proficiency in FEA and CFD simulations (SolidWorks Simulation, Flow Simulation) Knowledge of IoT programming and Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, ladder/FB) is desirable Strong problem-solving, autonomous and proactive attitude Excellent communication and technical writing skills in Portuguese and English Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and manage suppliers/partners Organizational skills, multitasking, and ability to work in group or independently in R&D What will you do?
Lead the development of a bio-decontamination system to be installed in HVAC units Perform 3D mechanical design and technical detailing in SolidWorks Apply DFM/DFA principles, FEA and CFD for performance and manufacturability optimization Conduct rapid prototyping and experimental validation of designs Interface with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, biotech, production) Identify, develop, and manage industrial suppliers and partners Optimize module design and assess system performance Validate simulation results through experimental testing and data comparison Support industrialization: documentation, BOMs, and continuous improvement Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to technical standards Write technical reports, white papers, and collaborate on innovative product solutions What do we offer?
