Job Title
Decskill is seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to support and enhance internal and client-facing database environments. The ideal candidate will have expert-level Oracle database administration skills, as well as experience with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Sybase, and optional MariaDB/MySQL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily database maintenance tasks, including backups, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Design, implement, and maintain high-performance database systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database integration.
* Develop and maintain documentation for database systems and procedures.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience as a professional DBA, with a focus on Oracle database administration.
* Expert-level knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
* Proven ability to conduct performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis in production environments.
* Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
* Experience managing and supporting databases on cloud platforms, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, proactive mindset.
