Research Fellowship (MSc) – Stem and Immune Cells Bioengineering
Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Oeiras, Portugal has an open position for a research fellowship in the field of Biological Engineering available within the project "Next generation, off-the-shelf, non fratricide-directed CAR immunotherapy for relapse/refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia" Ref. 101113067, financed by the European Commission.
Qualifications:
1. Master in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related areas, with a final grade equal to or superior to 15/20.
2. Experience in:
1. Mammalian or human stem cell culture techniques
2. Lentiviral transduction protocols
3. Analytics for characterization of cells (flow cytometry, metabolism, immunofluorescence microscopy)
4. 3D cell culture
5. CAR-T cell manufacturing
Proficient use of the English language, both spoken and written (candidates with internships and/or periods abroad will be valued). Motivation for applied research and good teamwork skills will also be valued.
Responsibilities:
Development of bioprocesses for the manufacture of CAR-T cells and methodologies for their characterization.
The fellowship will have a duration of 6 months, eventually renewable until the end of the project, without prejudice to the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1st of August 2024.
