Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Web Manager to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As the IT Web Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our web presence, from development and maintenance to optimization and security.
1. Lead and manage the web development team, ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery of web sites and web solutions
2. Develop and implement web strategies aligned with organizational goals and user needs
3. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of company websites and web applications
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of web solutions
5. Implement and maintain content management systems (CMS) to streamline content updates and management
6. Analyze web analytics data to identify trends, user behavior, and areas for improvement
7. Ensure website security, performance, and scalability through best practices and regular audits
8. Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to web development, domain management, and third-party services
9. Develop and maintain documentation for web processes, standards, and best practices
10. The Web Manager is also responsible for training, assigning projects, providing technical/coding expertise, and reviewing the quality of final deliverables.
Qualifications
11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
12. 5+ years of experience in web development and management, with a proven track record of successful web projects. 3-5 years of advanced front end focus.
13. Strong proficiency in web development technologies, including HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. Less CSS, SCSS and SMACSS is a plus.
14. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and web analytics tools
15. Knowledge and Experience on the Drupal platform and PHP platforms in general. PHTML and PHP Alternate Syntax is a plus
16. Solid understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards
17. Expertise in responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
18. Knowledge of web security protocols and best practices
19. Proficiency in project management software and methodologies
20. Extensive understanding of current web servers and computer server operating environments including security and encryption on the internet and HTTPS protocol.
21. Experience in GitHub application and feature branch workflows. Smart Commits is a plus.
22. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
23. Excellent leadership and team management abilities
24. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
25. Relevant web development certifications (, AWS Certified Developer, are a plus
26. Ability to stay current with web trends and emerging technologies
