The Institute of Public Policy – Lisbon (IPP) is a think tank of academic origin, which acts in a nonpartisan manner, being independent of any economic, social, political, religious or other interests. We intend to promote a society in which the public debate is more enlightened and the political decision processes more rigorous and informed. IPP is seeking a Project and Events Officer to support and advance our mission. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized professional – ideally with proven experience in event management and project management. Main functionsProvide general administrative and operational support to the Board of Directors; Manage and oversee the preparation of public events and/or webinars; Manage and oversee event logistics (transportation, accommodation, etc.); Assist in the procurement and contracting of services (e.g., catering, accommodation, transportation, graphic materials, audiovisual equipment, etc.); Support on-site organization during the event days. Help develop and implement IPP's communication and outreach activities (documents and contents production, website and social media management). Desired profileThe candidate must hold at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Management, Public Administration, Marketing, Economics or other fields in Social Sciences); Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Proficiency in English (ideally, evidence by a recognized certificate or equivalent experience); Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities, and attention to detail. Highly Appreciated:A working knowledge of event organization platforms (e.g., Eventbrite, ConfTool, or similar). Experience in managing the acquisition/contracting processes of service providers and suppliers; Experience in content production and social media management.
