The Company
We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to support the financial operations of a U.S.-based organization.
This role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing performance, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
Although the position is physically based in Portugal, the successful candidate will be directly employed by the U.S. entity and fully integrated into its global finance operations.
Your New Role
Lead monthly and annual closing processes in alignment with U.S. finance leadership;
Prepare financial statements and performance reports for global stakeholders;
Support external audits and respond to auditor inquiries;
Reconcile accounts including bank, inventory, payables, receivables, and intercompany;
Manage inventory accounting and cost calculations;
Collaborate with operations and logistics on import documentation and product costing;
Maintain and enhanceinternal controls and accounting procedures;
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and international accounting standards.
What You Need to Succeed
At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial control roles;
Strong understandingof inventory and cost accounting;
Experience with international transactions and multi-currency environments;
Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across time zones;
Fluency in English;
Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central is a plus);
Familiarity with U.S. accounting practices is a strong advantage.
