Our client is a multinational company investing in its growth in Portugal.
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Controller
Description
Participate in quarterly IFRS closing processes, with a primary focus on the French perimeter;
Perform second-level review of financial appendices;
Conduct analytical review of consolidated reporting packages;
Review financial assets in line with IFRS 13 (Fair Value Measurement);
Support data quality processes within group reporting systems;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements during interclosing periods;
Report regularly to the Head of Consolidation on assigned activities and deliverables.
Profile
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting;
Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly those related to financial instruments and insurance (e.g. IFRS 9, IFRS 17) is highly valued;
Previous experience in banking or insurance environments is a plus;
Strong analytical mindset with interest in automation and process optimisation (advanced Excel skills required; programming knowledge is a plus);
Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (intermediate level or higher);
Ability to work in an international and collaborative environment.
