This role is focused on database development, data migration, ETL processes, and supporting scalable Saa S products in a complex and secure environment.You will work closely with developers, product managers, and technical teams to design, optimize, and maintain high-performance database solutions while ensuring security, resilience, and best practices across all database operations.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, improving system performance, and contributing to modern cloud-based products.Hybrid work model — 3 days per week in the Porto OfficeKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexes, and database objectsSupport and lead data migration initiatives between different generations of applicationsAssist with data acquisition processes for online productsOptimize complex queries and improve database performance and scalabilityCollaborate with software developers to implement new data-driven products and featuresRecommend and implement database structures, security, backup, and recovery strategiesEnsure database integrity, security, availability, and resilienceManage disaster recovery processes and database maintenance activitiesImplement and maintain automated maintenance plans and backup routinesResearch and introduce new database technologies and best practicesProduce clear and comprehensive technical documentationEnsure all development follows coding standards, maintainability, and performance best practicesWork collaboratively across different sites and time zones in an international environmentRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in database development with strong expertise inMicrosoft SQL ServerAdvanced experience writing and troubleshooting complex SQL codeExperience with ETL processes and ETL tools such asSSISExperience with data migration projects across different generations of applicationsStrong knowledge ofMS SQL Server 2016+Deep understanding of database architecture, principles, and best practicesStrong knowledge of SQL Server internals and query performance tuningExperience working in Saa S environments is highly desirableBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently and collaboratively in distributed international teamsComfortable working under pressure in fast-paced environmentsHigh-quality, maintainable, and efficient database source codeHighly available, performant, and resilient database solutionsUnit tests ensuring reliable code coverage and stabilityClear technical and operational documentationContinuous improvement of database performance, scalability, and securityNice to HaveExperience with cloud-based Saa S platformsKnowledge of database automation and CI/CD practicesExposure to secure software development practicesExperience working in international and distributed teamsSalary Range
