We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customs Clearance Specialist to join our client in Lisbon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing import and export customs procedures across air, ocean, and road transport, ensuring smooth and compliant movement of goods for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle customs clearance procedures for inbound and outbound shipments across all transport modes.
* Work with digital platforms such as CargoWise and Gidwin to retrieve and process required customs documentation.
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry to prevent errors or delays.
* Maintain regular communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Build and nurture strong working relationships with clients, providing support throughout the customs process.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and compliance standards.
Requirements
* Completed secondary education.
* Upper-intermediate English skills (both spoken and written).
* 1/2 years of proven experience in customs clearance or import/export operations.
* Experience in freight forwarding operations is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms - experience with GIDWIN is a strong advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Capable of managing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
* Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
