About the location:
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is seeking an experienced and passionate
Head Sommelier
to lead our wine program and elevate the guest dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional product knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering world-class hospitality.
About the role
TheHeadSommelieroversees the outlet's wine operations andsupervises the performance and training ofthe Sommeliers ensuring Four Seasons standardsare met.This positioncreates and updateswine lists, makesrecommendations on food and wine pairings, and advisesguests on wines based ontheirtastesand preferences.
What you will do
Curate, enhance, andmaintaina distinguished wine list aligned with the restaurant’s concept and clientele.
Supervise, develop, and train the sommelier team and all colleagues involved in beverage service.
Provide warm, professional, and solution-oriented support when handling and resolving guest concerns.
Collaborate closely with the F&B Leadership Team toanticipateoperational needs and communicate guest feedback effectively.
Deliver an engaging and expertly executed beverage experiencein accordance withFour Seasons standards of quality, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Present the wine list and beverage offerings with confidence, providing vivid,accurate, and engaging descriptions to guide guests.
Prepare beverages following established recipes, ensuring correct ingredients, garnishes, portions, and preparation methods.
Serve wines and beverages with precision and elegance, in line with guest preferences and service etiquette.
Offer tailored food-and-wine pairing recommendations based on guest tastes and menu selections.
Manage beverage inventory levels,purchasing, and stock rotation to ensure efficient,accurate, and professional service, with a strong emphasis on wine program excellence.
What you bring
3+ years of sommelier experience in a luxury hotel, fine-dining, or Michelin-level restaurant.
A high levelof wineknowledge, including an extensive understanding ofwine makingprocess, mainwineriesand wine regions.
Certified Sommelier qualification.
Strong understanding of food-and-wine pairing principles.
Proficiencyin using the Micros Operating System.
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoingpersonalityand a can-do approach to any request.
Inspiring, hands-on leader with strong communication and coaching abilities.
Reading,writingand oralproficiencyin theItalian andEnglish language.

Schedule & Hours:
