The Job
We seek an experienced DevOps engineer to design and implement scalable automated solutions for our real-time ecosystem. Your focus will be on building self-service platforms, optimizing developer workflows, and ensuring a robust CI/CD pipeline.
As a key member of our DevOps team, you'll collaborate closely with development teams to create automated systems that scale with our cloud infrastructure, improve security posture, and elevate our SLA standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Focus on automation and reducing operational overhead by implementing cutting-edge tools and processes.
* Elevate the developer experience by empowering them to take ownership of their infrastructure.
* Research and integrate new automation solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
* Collaborate with developers and application owners in a collaborative culture to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Resolve JIRA tickets in areas such as Cloud, CICD, deployments, monitoring, etc.
* Challenge the status quo by bringing new ideas and innovation to the team.
* Maintain and support internal tools, improving system health and reliability.
* Document and provide cross-training to peers for projects and products worked on.
* Ensure service uptimes to maintain SLA-driven uptime.
Requirements
What We Need
* 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Platform Engineer.
* Strong hands-on experience with cloud networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, NLB/ALB).
* Deep knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS networking (CNI, CoreDNS, ingress controllers, service meshes, network policies).
* Experience with voice protocols such as RTP, SIP, and VoIP-related traffic optimization.
* Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
* Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
* Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.), including voice/media traffic monitoring.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with multi-region/multi-account networking.
* Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
* Knowledge of GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Flux).
* Experience with cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.
