Transport Planning Expert
We are seeking an experienced Transport Planning Lead to support the implementation of a major urban transport project in Guimaraes, Portugal. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering advisory services to develop the municipality's Bus Rapid Transit and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver advisory services to support the development of the Guimaraes Municipality Bus Rapid Transit and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan projects.
* Collaborate with the core team to ensure the projects are implemented in an integrated and coordinated manner.
* Achieve accelerated decarbonisation of the transport system in the municipality.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in transport planning, transport engineering or related field.
* Working command of English language (CEFR C1).
* Working command of Portuguese language (CEFR C1).
* At least 15 years' professional experience in the urban and passenger transport sector.
* Minimum 12 years of advisory or delivery experience on transport plans and urban transport projects.
* Specific knowledge and experience of urban transport plans or studies (e.g. SUMPs) and/or public transport planning and design.
